Welcoming the Centre for Young Lives to Scotland

We were delighted to host researchers from the Centre for Young Lives as part of The Raising the Nation Play Commission – a year-long independent inquiry into why play is critical to the wellbeing of children.

We showcased some of the best practice for play in Scotland by visiting St Martin’s Primary School to show their progress with the Play Pedagogy Award, the Children’s Wood, PEEK, Baltic Street Adventure Playground, The Yard, and hearing from YMCA Edinburgh. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch in Cafe Hope, Maryhill, Glasgow.

We are looking forward to the Centre for Young Lives forthcoming report – watch this space!
