Everyone at Play Scotland was deeply saddened to hear that our dear friend and colleague Dr Helene Guldberg died at the start of July this year. Helene was a keynote speaker at the Play Scotland Annual Conference in March 2015 at Forth Valley College, Falkirk. Dr Helene Guldberg, author of Reclaiming Childhood : Freedom and Play in an Age of Fear (2009), was a fearless and passionate play champion who cared, wrote, and worked on the issues that matter in our wonderful world. I will treasure my signed copy of this book even more and resolve to pass it onto a budding next-generation Play Warrior!
