Training for Trainers in an Introduction to Playwork Course

Please see training information below.

Play Scotland have been asked by Playwork Partnerships and University of Gloucester if we would like to roll out this training in Scotland and our Trainer Cherie Morgan was wondering if you would be interested in putting forward a candidate to be trained.

Candidates would have to be experienced trainers, who would then be able to roll out Introduction to Playwork Training to groups such as parents, volunteers and employees new to the playwork sector.

At the moment we are canvassing interest to see if it would be useful to run the course. A provisional date of 15th June has been identified for this training, venue likely to be Edinburgh, however we might also consider running a Saturday event if that is felt to be more useful for attendees.

There would be a training fee of £50 per candidate. Places are limited and candidates will be selected in order to maximise impact and spread of the training. Please forward to any appropriate contacts if relevant.

Could you please respond to Cherie Morgan email: cheriemorgan@playscotland.org if you are interested initially, whether the date above suits or another date would be better, and she will send you more information.

Our vision would be to have trainers across Scotland who can provide high quality consistent training at an introductory level, and that we can refer groups to for support if they contacted our office.

Hi there, I was looking at your website and noticed that you are offering this training.
I’m not a trainer but I do outdoor play work and the content of this course looks extremely interesting to me. I’m wondering if you had any spaces, if you would consider opening up the course to people like myself?
I’m constantly looking for outdoor play work training and it can be very difficult to find in Scotland.
I look forward to hearing from you.
