Cotton wool kids at risk of becoming mentally fragile

Wrapping kids in cotton wool is creating a generation of “psychologically fragile’’ children, according to Kidsafe.

Launching National Kidsafe Day, the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia (Kidsafe) is urging helicopter parents to step back let their kids take acceptable risks such as climbing trees or they risked setting them up for a lifetime of low self-esteem, obesity, poor co-ordination and stifled mental development.  Full article
